Greetings from March and way way way past the 1st of the month for our March Free Cross Stitch Chart. I have no excuse for my two month absence from our free patterns, I’m very sorry if you turned up bright and early in February ready to stitch! I have been hosting and obsessively burning all of my free time on a Minecraft server with anyone who is susceptible to be bullied into playing with me.
This month’s free pattern would definitely have been better suited to February. But it’s super cute so I have decided to post it regardless. I hope you find the little bit of blackwork included in the text a new and interesting challenge if you haven’t tried it before!
I Don’t Own Enough Needles to Feed My Needle Minders
There is some exciting news to share about our needle minders… First of all, we SOLD SOME! Can you imagine? I’m as shocked as you are. It’s done absolutely nothing to dent my collection, and has only encouraged me further.
Check out their little packages! Aren’t they so cute? They definitely didn’t take me hours and hours and give me three paper cuts.

As a result, we will be adding more needle minders to the store this month, and we are also low-key investigating craft store stalls around the Auckland region here in New Zealand. I’d like to take the needle minders out on the road, and trial a few small pattern kits, complete with material, hoops and floss. We think crafty crowds in person might be the best way to give that a go!
It’s worth noting that on the website store we will only be open to New Zealand and Australian orders for tax reporting reasons. If you’re located overseas you can check our Etsy store as well, which will be able to take international orders. Make sure you check back in later on in March when those will be added.
March Free Cross Stitch – Bees!

These busy bees were inspired by summer here in NZ, where it’s just been an absolute stunner. It’s been so warm and sunny over here, even now in March (when it would usually be dying down).
I’ve added a bit of coloured blackwork in the text, which is completely optional if you might prefer it without the text. I’ve just become slightly obsessed with blackwork in my personal projects for the last few months, and couldn’t help but include some!
